Support for Darryl Montague

Vermont Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs,Inc.

Support for Darryl Montague

On Monday, June 29th, Darryl Montague was shot 3 times at point-blank range.  To date he has undergone several surgeries and has received over 30 units of blood, which completely emptied Vermont's supply and required bringing in additional units of blood from New Hampshire.

At this time we understand that the internal bleeding has been stopped and he has been stabilized, but he remains in critical condition and is being very closely monitored.

In response to this horrendous event, the Federation asks you to PLEASE consider helping, hopefully in two ways:

1.       Make a Donation

2.       Giving Blood

Donation Fund

An online fund has been set up to allow money to be donated to help defray the medical costs not covered by insurance as well as other expenses being incurred by his extended family such as travel, lodging meals and incidentals.  Please give and please give generously.

Giving Blood

Darryl can accept A+, O+, or O- blood types.  The best location to donate blood is the American Red Cross Donation Center in Burlington which is located at 32 N. Prospect St, and be sure to donate in Darryl's name. Time is extremely precious for Darryl and his family, so please make the time to go to Burlington and donate blood.  The Burlington Donation Center is open 9am - 6pm Monday - Friday and Saturday 9am - 2pm.  If you can't make it to Burlington, then please visit this Red Cross website and type in your zip code to find the nearest donation center, or plan on attending the following donation events:

·         Littleton, NH on July 2, 2015
Elks Lodge; Route 302; Littleton, NH 10:00am to 3:00pm

·         Brattleboro on July 7, 2015
VFW; Black Mountain Road; from 11:30am to 5:00pm

PLEASE:  Beyond being the Secretary of the Vermont Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, Darryl is true friend, and avid hunter, and exceptional marksman and extremely dedicated to his family.  We respectfully ask that you consider donating to Darryl's Fund, as well as giving blood in Darryl's name; he would do the same and more for you...
