UVM 4-H Shooting Sports Program at Rutland Fair (Photos)

The UVM 4-H Shooting Sports Program has its mobile air rifle range at the Rutland Fair.
This is not the UVM Sports Shooting Club, which are UVM students.

The UVM 4-H Shooting Sports Program has many youngsters participating in the program.
The exhibit at the Rutland Fair is staffed by folks from the Bennington County, Pownal Valley,
4-H Sharp Shooters.

The side of the mobile air rifle range exhibits the logos of the organizations that funded the
purchase of this very nice mobile air rifle range.  The top one is the Friends of the NRA,
below that is the National Wild Turkey Federation and Federal Ammunition.
(there may be another one further below, very hard to discern)

BTV City Council's Ban on guns in bars, unconstitutional

                                          "Gun Owners Not Wanted Here"

A federal court has held a less restrictive ordinance in Baton Rouge, LA to be unconstitutional.

The Burlington City Council put it on the ballot, having told the public that it was only about guns in bars.
The Burlington City Council wants to be able to arrest honest citizens for having an unloaded, firearm
locked in the trunk of a vehicle in a parking lot of a business with a first class liquor license.  90 days
imprisonment, loss of their firearms.  Even if the parking lot was jointly used by other businesses.
But, it was more than parking lots.  A Burlington motel/hotel with a first class liquor license was off limits
to those with a firearm for use hunting or a shooting match at an area range.  No having their guns in their
room nor in  the parking lot. Off-duty law enforcement were not exempt from this outrageous ballot item.

Repeatedly told it was unconstitutional, the Burlington City Council marched forward to trample gun rights.

Why would any gun owner want to travel into a town where the city council holds them in such contempt?

VSRPA NRA Rifle Clinic Day (Photos)

The Vermont State Rifle & Pistol Association conducted a NRA High Power Rifle Clinic
Day on Saturday, August 23 at the Camp Ethan Allen Training Site (CEATS) in Jericho, VT.

The NRA event was followed on Sunday by a rifle match at CEATS.  Photos from a 2014
VSRPA NRA rifle clinic are attachments above.  Note the use of AR rifles for serious
competition and the high number of coaches relative to rifle clinic students for good training.

The NRA event was funded by a grant that was made possible from the profits of Vermont's
six Friends of NRA banquets and the grant was administered by the Vermont Federation of
Sportsmen's Clubs.

The last two Friends of NRA events are in Barre on Sept. 13 and Lyndon Center of Sept. 26.

Vermont Gun Control Group paid $39K for its lobbyist

A Vermont gun control group has reported to the Secretary of State's Office that it has
paid $39,000.00 for lobbying services.  GunsenseVT is apparently only exceeded by
VT Yankee ($47,349) and VT Association of Hospital and Health Systems ($45,000)

They have outspent Green Mountain Power, FairPoint, Verizon and Walmart.  They are the
3rd biggest spender out of 357 reporting lobbyist employers. See the attachment to this E-mail.

The gun control element in Vermont fully intends to crush gun owner rights in the upcoming
legislative session starting in January.  They have spent big dollars to accomplish their agenda.

The Vermont Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs reported its spending of $68.65 to reimburse
lobbying expenses for its volunteer lobbyists.  $39,000.00 v. $68.65.   Sounds fair, right?

You can donate to the Vermont Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs defense fund to protect your rights

Your rights are being targeted.  Nobody gets to sit on the sidelines.  Get involved.  Our folks must Vote!
