When:  Tuesday, January 30th, 5:30PM to 7:30PM

What:   Vermont Sportspersons Filling the State House

 

HELP US TELL OUR LEGISLATORS:

NO NEW GUNS LAWS IN VT

 

 

 

WHY OPPOSING THE PROPOSED GUN CONTROL LEGISLATION IS NECESSARY

Vermont's Gun Control lobby is telling our legislators that the population of Vermont has changed; that your rights and values are no longer relevant  A few legislators seem to believe this and need to be convinced otherwise.  They say that Sportspeople are not willing to stand up and protect your rights, and that you will not oppose their laundry list of New York City style gun control.  They say 2018 is the year for Vermont to enact big city gun control restrictions and that you will sit back and not object.  Beyond that:  Gun control advocates in Vermont are using several state legislators to once again call for passing numerous types of gun control laws, and are considering laws that effect other sporting activities.

 

EVENT AGENDA

4:30pm sign up to speak before the legislative panel to tell them "No New Gun Laws"

5:30pm to 7:30pm public hearing on enacting gun control laws in Vermont

FACTS ON GUNS IN VERMONT

§  Vermont is continually the 1st or 2nd Safest State in the nation on Violent Crime

§  Vermont is the 3rd lowest source of the 50 states for guns based on BATFE trace backs

§  Vermont IS NOT a major source of firearms to MA, NY or New England

§  Criminals do not obey laws, blaming crime on honest citizens by passing ineffective and senseless laws and restrictions will cost those good citizens lost time and money
